Taiji Quan (Tai Chi) is an ancient Chinese internal martial art that combines movement, breathing, and awareness to develop vital energy, inner strength, balance, and centeredness.
At Chu Xin School, we practise exclusively Chen-style Taiji, the original style of Taiji Quan, which originated in the village of Chenjiagou, in China’s Henan Province.
Chen style is distinguished by:
- Harmonious, circular movements alternating with explosive releases of power (Fa Jin)
- Deep internal work on spiralling energy (Chan Si Jin)
- Fluid integration of mind, breath, and body
- Rooting, elastic strength, softness, and power
It is a complete martial art suitable for improving health, developing energy, practising self-defence, and fostering inner growth. Training includes:
- Traditional empty-hand forms (Laojia, Xinjia)
- Weapons forms (sword, sabre, staff)
- Integrated Qi Gong exercises and Tui Shou (pushing hands)
- Taoist principles applied to movement

The Masters and the Lineage
Chu Xin School was founded by Carolina Inda and follows the direct lineage of Wang Xi’An, one of the world’s foremost representatives of Chen style and a member of the 19th generation of the Chen family. In Italy and Europe, this lineage is passed on by Master Marcello Sidoti, his direct disciple, under whom Carolina also studies.
Marcello Sidoti has over 40 years of experience and has helped introduce and promote authentic Chen style in Italy, remaining entirely faithful to the tradition and authenticity of the method. His teaching is based on rigorous, methodical, and accessible practice, with a strong emphasis on internal work and the accurate transmission of Taiji’s fundamental principles.
At Chu Xin School, the programme includes:
Structured courses at three levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced
Continuous training with annual examinations certified directly by Master Sidoti
Monthly technical development sessions for instructors and practitioners
Personal growth programmes integrated with martial arts practice
Marcello Sidoti
Master Marcello Sidoti is one of Italy’s leading authorities on authentic Chen-style Taijiquan, the original form that emerged in Chenjiagou, China. He has practised Chinese martial arts since 1987 and began exploring traditional culture and Taoist and Buddhist philosophy as early as the 1980s.
In the 1990s, he became a student of Shi Ronghua and later continued his training under Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang. Since 2002, he has travelled regularly to Chenjiagou to study directly with the Chen family.
In 2007, he established a direct relationship with Grandmaster Wang Xi’An, one of the foremost living exponents of Chen style, becoming part of his inner lineage. In 2016, he formally received discipleship (Baishi), becoming a 12th-generation Master of Chenjiagou and a second-generation Master of Wang Xi’An Quan Fa.
Today, he is the technical director of Wang Xi’An Taiji Italy and Grandmaster Wang Xi’An’s official representative in Italy. Recognised in China as an IRAP-certified instructor and holder of the 4th Duanwei, he teaches a method that integrates internal technique, spiralling energy (Chan Si Jin), and explosive power (Fa Jin), the distinctive features of traditional Chen style.
He has trained numerous teachers, leads workshops in Italy and abroad, and is the author of important works such as Chenjiagou Taijiquan: At the Origins of Chen-Style Taiji.
